Carelink Alarm Unit
The Carelink Alarm base unit is the heart of the personal alarm system. When you press your button, the base unit sends an alert directly to our 24/7 Care Team.
The Carelink Personal Alarm unit plugs into your phone line and the mains power. It uses the phone line to contact us when you need help. You can carry on using your landline phone as normal by plugging it into the back of the alarm. There is no need to get an extra landline socket fitted! In addition, the base unit features a loudspeaker and microphone built-in, so you can speak to us when you need help.
Even in the event of a power cut, you won't have to go without your Carelink alarm. The base unit contains a powerful back-up battery which can power the alarm for up to 40 hours. This battery will then recharge automatically as soon as the power comes back on.
Carelink Pendant
The Carelink Personal Alarm Pendant makes sure you can reach us whenever you need help. It is designed to be discreet, stylish, and comfortable enough to wear all day long.
The powerful little pendant has a range of up to 100 metres from the base unit, protecting you throughout your whole home and garden. The pendant is also waterproof, so you can keep it on in the bath or shower and when doing the dishes.
It comes with two comfortable wearing attachments: a stylish wrist strap and a soft cord for wearing around the neck. If you like, you can easily tuck the pendant under a top or up your sleeve to hide it from view.
With a seven-year battery life, you can rest assured that your Carelink pendant will be ready when you need it.
How to use your Carelink Alarm
Using the Carelink Personal Alarm couldn't be simpler. All you need to do is press your pendant button. You can also use the red button on the base unit to call for help. Let's look at an example call, so you know what to expect.
You are making a cup of tea at home when you lose your balance and have a fall. Simply press your pendant button. You will be quickly connected to our 24-hour Care Team, who will speak to you through the alarm base unit. They will ask you what's happened and whether you are hurt, before quickly arranging the help you need.
You might fall outside in the garden, or in another room where you cannot hear the base unit's loudspeaker. There is no need to worry. If you can't hear us or we can't hear you, we will always call your nominated contacts to let them know that you've raised the alarm. We will tell them we haven't managed to reach you and ask them to attend urgently.
False alarms are bound to happen now and then, so no need for concern if you accidentally knock the button. Just let it dial through to our care team and they will be happy to know you are safe and sound. At the very least it's a good test to ensure everything is working as it should be!

Here are the warning signs of dehydration, as well as methods to keep your fluids up. Dehydration Warning Signs Often, summer heat can be uncomfortable. We sweat more and may end up feeling tired. However, sometimes this discomfort crosses into danger. Sweating reduces the amount of fluid in our bodies, which is necessary for many biological processes. And the tiredness we feel may be a result of poor hydration. Common Signs When you are dehydrated, your body will start to crave water. Unfortunately, in later life our thirst reflex tends to become weaker. This means we may not be drinking as much as we need. Fortunately, increased thirst is not the only sign of dehydration. You may also notice: Serious Signs If you ignore the common signs of dehydration, they could progress into more severe symptoms. These symptoms could Read More
