24-Hour Monitoring Team
People who join our telecare alarm service will be covered by our 24-hour monitoring team. Our team, who have gone through extensive training, works all year-round to ensure that they are always ready to help. It is our monitoring team who will respond should you press your telecare alarm pendant or telecare alarm base unit.
In such a situation, the team member will speak over the base unit loudspeaker and will ask you what has happened and what your injuries are. They will then take the appropriate actions to ensure that help comes to you. This will involve calling for friends, family or neighbours (known as emergency contacts), and the emergency services if they are needed.

Telecare Alarm Unit
The telecare alarm base unit contains the latest industry technology. Such is its simplicity, the telecare alarm base unit can be installed within a matter of minutes by the alarm user or a loved one. Simply plug it into a power socket and the existing telephone socket, before connecting the telephone to the back of the base unit.
Our telecare alarm unit has a built-in microphone and loudspeaker system, which allows clear communication between our monitoring team and our customers. The alarm unit includes a 40-hour backup battery which will kick in if a power cut occurs. The backup will re-charge was power is restored in your home.
Telecare Alarm Pendant
The telecare alarm pendant has been designed with comfort in mind. It can be worn around the wrist or around the neck, with both attachments included alongside the pendant. Our pendant can be worn in the bathroom as it is waterproof, and can be used outside in the garden due to a range of up to 100 metres.
In an emergency situation, such as a fall, you simply push the red button on the pendant. This sends an alert through to our monitoring team, who will respond within a matter of seconds. Your situation will be assessed and help will be found via your emergency contacts and if they are required, the emergency services.
Peace of mind every day with a Carelink alarm
The Carelink Alarm can provide peace of mind for you and your family. The Plug & Play system works using your existing telephone line and connects you to our 24/7 monitoring centre. With the push of a button, help will be available day or night, removing the fear of what could happen if you have a fall at home.
How to use your Carelink Alarm
You now know the features of the Carelink Alarm you are about to order, but what do you actually need to do in an emergency? This section of the Carelink guide will explain how to use your alarm. We believe using your alarm couldn't be simpler - we think it's even easier than making yourself a cup of tea!
Let's imagine that you are at home enjoying your favourite TV show or doing a spot of cleaning. All of a sudden, you start feeling unwell or have a fall. All you need to do is press the button on your pendant. Our monitoring team will receive your call for help. They will speak to you over the alarm unit's loudspeaker to see what the situation is before calling your emergency contacts.
We suggest that you select members of your family, close friends, or neighbours as emergency contacts. Your chosen contacts will be informed that you require urgent help. If you require medical assistance, the emergency services will also be contacted. The monitoring team will call your contacts to assist you even if you are unable to respond to their loudspeaker call.
Don't worry if you press your button by mistake! False alarms are quite common. In any case, our team are always happy to speak with you and check that your alarm is working perfectly.
Don't forget to test your Carelink alarm at least once a month! Simply press your button and let our monitoring team know that it is just a test.
