Piper Alarm Base Unit
Our Piper Alarm System comes with two simple parts. The base unit acts as a communication device, allowing alarm users and monitoring team to speak to one another in an emergency or during a test call.
The base unit has a loudspeaker, used by the monitoring team, which can still be heard from the next room. It also has a built-in microphone, so that you can respond to the monitoring centre. This clear communication is crucial during an alarm call, so that the monitoring team understand what has happened.
The base unit plugs directly into your telephone socket and the mains power in your home. Your telephone is connected to the box, using the adaptor provided.
Piper Alarm Pendant Button
Alongside the base unit, the Piper Alarm package also include a little pendant button. This is the button which can be pressed to alert the monitoring team in an emergency. It can be worn around the neck or around the wrist - it's down to your own preference.
The pendant has been designed to be as comfortable and discreet as possible. It can be hidden quite easily under your sleeve or down your top. It's waterproof for use in the bathroom, and a 100 metre range means it can protect you in the garden too. A seven-year battery means there's no need to worry about charging.
If you have a fall at home, feel unwell, or feel anxious in any way, simply press the red button on your pendant. The monitoring team will respond and send help your way.
Next Day Set-Up
Our Piper Alarms are designed to be as simple to use as possible. This is because speed is key within the Telecare industry, and we get this!
All of our alarms are pre-installed before dispatch, and come with free next day delivery. Once the alarm arrives at your home, you can choose to install it yourself or ask a loved one to do it for you. There's no need for any installation engineer, it should only take you a few short moments.
Once connected, simply press the red button on the base unit or pendant and complete a short test call with our monitoring team. You're now covered 24.7!
24/7 Monitoring
All users of the Piper Alarm are connected to a 24-Hour monitoring team. This team are available all day, every day throughout the year.
They're highly-trained to deal with a number of emergency situations and are on-hand to help should you press your pendant. If you require assistance, press the red button and an alert call is made to the team. A team member will respond over the loudspeaker, assess your situation and take action.
Your emergency contacts (neighbours, family or friends) will be called and asked to attend. The emergency services will also be called should you require their assistance.

The Carelink Alarm can provide peace of mind for you and your family. The Plug & Play system works using your existing telephone line and connects you to our 24/7 monitoring centre. With the push of a button, help will be available day or night, removing the fear of what could happen if you have a fall at home.
How to use your Carelink Alarm
You now know the features of the Carelink Alarm you are about to order, but what do you actually need to do in an emergency? This section of the Carelink guide will explain how to use your alarm. We believe using your alarm couldn't be simpler - we think it's even easier than making yourself a cup of tea!
Let's imagine that you are at home enjoying your favourite TV show or doing a spot of cleaning. All of a sudden, you start feeling unwell or have a fall. All you need to do is press the button on your pendant. Our monitoring team will receive your call for help. They will speak to you over the alarm unit's loudspeaker to see what the situation is before calling your emergency contacts.
We suggest that you select members of your family, close friends, or neighbours as emergency contacts. Your chosen contacts will be informed that you require urgent help. If you require medical assistance, the emergency services will also be contacted. The monitoring team will call your contacts to assist you even if you are unable to respond to their loudspeaker call.
Don't worry if you press your button by mistake! False alarms are quite common. In any case, our team are always happy to speak with you and check that your alarm is working perfectly.
Don't forget to test your Carelink alarm at least once a month! Simply press your button and let our monitoring team know that it is just a test.
