24-Hour Assistant Button
The Assistant Button has been designed to help the elderly and disabled, as well as people living with long-term health conditions or those who simply live alone.
It aims to be an affordable alternative to moving into a care home or paying for multiple home visits. Instead, you and your family can live with worry, knowing that you can simply press your assistant button for help.
Each assistant button connects to your 24-hour monitoring team. They work all day, everyday, to ensure that you always have somebody to call for help.
All assistant buttons come with free next day delivery and are pre-programmed before they're dispatched. The system is easy to understand and can be installed within a few minutes.
How the Assistant Button Works
The assistant button can be worn around the wrist or neck - the choice is yours! It's waterproof, so it can be worn safely in the bath or shower. A range of up to 100 metres means that you can also raise an alarm if you trip in the garden.
Our assistant button is connected to a small base unit, which is plugged into your telephone socket. The base unit also has a help button, should you be near the device when you need help. It also has a loudspeaker and built-in microphone.
In an emergency, simply push the red assistant button. An alert call is made to our monitoring team, who will respond via the loudspeaker on the base unit. They'll ask you what has happened and whether you have any injuries. They'll then begin calling for help, via friends, family and neighbours. The emergency services will also be contacted should you require medical attention.
The monitoring team will do their best to reassure you whilst help is on its way. They will also pass on any relevant medical history to the paramedics, and your key safe code so that they can gain entry to your home.

How to use your Carelink Alarm
You now know the features of the Carelink Alarm you are about to order, but what do you actually need to do in an emergency? This section of the Carelink guide will explain how to use your alarm. We believe using your alarm couldn't be simpler - we think it's even easier than making yourself a cup of tea!
Let's imagine that you are at home enjoying your favourite TV show or doing a spot of cleaning. All of a sudden, you start feeling unwell or have a fall. All you need to do is press the button on your pendant. Our monitoring team will receive your call for help. They will speak to you over the alarm unit's loudspeaker to see what the situation is before calling your emergency contacts.
We suggest that you select members of your family, close friends, or neighbours as emergency contacts. Your chosen contacts will be informed that you require urgent help. If you require medical assistance, the emergency services will also be contacted. The monitoring team will call your contacts to assist you even if you are unable to respond to their loudspeaker call.
Don't worry if you press your button by mistake! False alarms are quite common. In any case, our team are always happy to speak with you and check that your alarm is working perfectly.
Don't forget to test your Carelink alarm at least once a month! Simply press your button and let our monitoring team know that it is just a test.
